How to use Sauna?

1. Sauna Room
• Check the sauna room before switching on the power. Do not dry clothes in the sauna, and do not cover the stove in any way.
• Make sure the sauna door is closed toward the washroom.

2. Turning on the Sauna Stove
• The stove can be started by pressing the power button. The control panel is located in the utility room (see picture).
• The stove temperature (70 °C) and operating time (2 h) are preset. The sauna is ready for use in about 30–40 minutes.

3. Sauna Use
• Please shower before entering the sauna. In Finland, people sauna without clothing.
• Disposable seat covers ("peflettis") can be found in the utility room and must be used on the benches.
• We recommend using lukewarm water for throwing steam. Use the ladle to pour a small amount of water onto the stove. The steam must not burn your skin. Maintain your hydration.
• You may stay in the steam for as long as you like. If you feel too hot or uncomfortable, you should stop and go cool down. Finns typically take a quick shower, step outside for a moment, or even roll in soft snow.

4. Turning off the Sauna Stove
• Press and hold the power button on the control panel until the indicator light turns off.
• Please turn off the stove immediately after you finish using the sauna.

Warnings:

• Do not use the sauna as a drying room for clothes or laundry due to fire risk.
• Be careful around the hot stove, as the stones and metal parts become hot enough to burn skin.
• The steam from the stove is scalding and may cause burns.
• Children, people with reduced mobility, and those who are ill should be supervised while using the sauna.
• The benches and floors may be slippery, so move carefully inside the sauna.
• Do not enter a hot sauna under the influence of intoxicating substances (alcohol, medications, drugs, etc.).
